Nungubane Game Lodge is set high in Welgevonden’s mountainous, malaria free terrain overlooking valleys and kloofs, dissected by areas of open plains and rolling grasslands.
Located in Welgevonden Game Reserve, Limpopo Province, South Africa. The Reserve comprises some 40,000 hectares of pristine bushveld and ranks amongst Southern Africa’s largest private game reserves and forms part of the only savanna biosphere reserve in the world, proclaimed by UNESCO in March 2001. It has a large and diverse variety of plains game, is home to South Africa’s ‘’ Big Five ’’ and is malaria free.
It is world renowned for its conservation initiatives as well as its pioneering grassland plains project.A game viewing hide, protected by an electric fence that secures the Lodge from predators and big game, overlooks a waterhole which provides some spectacular opportunities to view a variety of wild animals.
Strategically located at the top of a hill, Nungubane Game Lodge commands spectacular views of the bushveld and valleys below.
Facilities include a main lodge with an intimate lounge, bar and dining room, a large viewing deck overlooking the valley below and a filtered swimming pool. An elevated pool deck provides guests with stunning views over the rolling hills and ancient weathered sandstone boulders that are a feature of Welgevonden.
Accommodating only ten guests in five luxury air conditioned chalets each with panoramic views of the valley below. Featuring king size double or single beds, overhead fans,spacious bathrooms and outdoor showers. Sliding chalet doors lead onto outdoor private decks providing guests with stunning views of the surrounding bushveld.

Early morning and late afternoon safaris are conducted in an open game drive vehicle by our experienced and qualified FGASA Guides.
Although dedicated to providing you with an exhilarating safari experience, they also follow strict protocols when viewing wild animals to ensure that the environment is preserved and protected.
