Botswana’s borders are open! This is your chance to explore Botswana’s prized jewel, the Okavango Delta. Over 11,000 km3 of seasonal floodwater travels from the neighbouring Angola Highlands to fill this inland river basin to create a home to more than 2,000 plants, 450 birds, 65 fish and over 200,000 large mammal species.
The Legendary Delta experience includes 4 nights at Gomoti Plains, in a private concession on the edge of the Gomoti floodplain system, this luxury safari camp has access to incredible wildlife and scenery. After an unforgettable safari at Gomoti Plains Camp, you will be transported by helicopter to Maun Airport where a staff member of Meno A Kwena will take you to a safe COVID testing station. Once your test has been completed you will be transferred to Meno A Kwena where you will enjoy your last night before heading back home. Meno a Kwena sits in an awesome location on the Boteti River overlooking the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park – a completely contrasting location, wildlife and habitat to the lush green Okavango Delta regions
From the moment you arrive at Gomoti Plains, you will be made to feel right at home but the true luxury of your experience lies in the discovery of the pristine landscapes, the beautiful culture and the extraordinary wildlife. Named after the river it borders, Gomoti Plains camp lies alongside one of the smaller of the water system’s flood plains. Framed by towering palm trees, the iconic canvas tents provide eco-luxurious comfort in an area that is alive with superb land and water-based game-viewing opportunities. Known as the predator capital of the world, this package includes time in the Moremi Game Reserve. The wildlife viewing here is exceptional and includes lion, leopard, spotted hyena and cheetah and African wild dogs. This strong presence of predators is supported by the abundance of prey.
Meno A Kwena is a hidden gem of a camp perched on a rocky cliff-top above the Boteti River in Botswana.
With a glittering roster of activities, including day trips to the Makgadikgadi Pans, guided walks with the San bushmen, and wildlife-watching boat trips, there’s plenty to get your teeth into. But sometimes, the best game viewing is where you least expect it, and at Meno, it’s right in front of you. From the lofty position of the tents, which look down on a menagerie of animals at the water below, from herds of majestic elephant to dazzles of nomadic zebra – all you need to do is sit back, and take it all in.
