Rock Fig is a privately-owned safari lodge which is situated in the Western sector of Madikwe Game Reserve. The lodge is a small, private and intimate space where you can unwind in the luxury of your private villa. The fully-equipped suits offer panoramic views, privacy, luxury and convenience to enjoy and make the most of your safari experience.

Each free-standing unit offers an intimate lounge with an open plan design, a private balcony, fully equipped modern kitchen and dining room. Each room hosts a king-size bed, spacious en suite bathroom, and its own outside shower – bringing you even closer to nature. Enjoy panoramic views over the plains of Madikwe and the scattered Enselberg outcrops that are unique to the area. You can choose to relax on your private deck or take a walk to underground hide which has a close-up view of a watering whole frequented by elephants. Spend the rest of your day lounging around your private splash pool, or your evenings by a fire under the stars with the sounds of the wild.

Rock Fig Lodge has a unique ground level hide overlooking a 20 000 litre watering hole. The hide is visited by a range of wildlife from the smallest klipspringer to the largest of elephants.

The low angle of the hide gives photographers the ideal position for take unique wildlife shots.

The hide gives you the opportunity to watch wildlife from ground level, with the animals unaware that you are there.

The hide is exclusively available to guests at Rock Fig Lodge at all times. The red LED interior lights make this a perfect setting for late night game viewing with you being completely invisible to the animals.
